Gate Biotechnology Preparation Tips

Gate Biotechnology Preparation Tips

Here we share some strategy to crack GATE with a good rank. If you study well, with a good plan and your own strategy you need not join any GATE Biotech Coaching for Gate Biotechnology Exam.
First and foremost work is to go through the GATE Biotech 2019 syllabus and write the topics and subtopics in a diary so that you can have a checklist of what you have completed and revised. You may think this is a waste of time but it is actually NOT!! The reason is that you will be aware of what topics you have completed and whether revision has been done or not. Also mention the no of times you did revision. Test series plays an important role to boost your confidence and give a real GATE exam experience. When you are done with a subject preparation you may start with the part tests. Most of you would be wondering which test series you should join.
During Preparation Focus on the areas of interest of GATE. You see similar questions being asked in GATE Biotech. Do get command on those types of questions. Neglect those things which are there in the syllabus but don’t come now a days.
During Gate Exam Firstly, solve those which are very easy and quick to solve. Then, you solve those which you know how to but takes a longer time. At last, solve those questions which are difficult to solve and you need to apply option elimination, or any kind of strategy but you need to solve and never guess or mark wrong options just for the sake of luck to get it right.

GATE

GATE is not only the GATEWAY to higher education like M.E / M.TECH or research from premium institutes like IIT’s / IISC but also the only way to get jobs in PSU’s. so, it is very much important that you should prepare for GATE and try to crack it. Not only government jobs but the private jobs also give weight and preference to candidates having a good GATE score, if they are interviewing candidates for core jobs. Koshika Academy is the best GATE Biotechnology Coaching Center in Lucknow, INDIA. The faculties are excellent and they guide you topic wise with proper concept. They provide study material and the test series.

Here are few tips on how to crack the examination and score full marks:

  1. Set your goals – Different goals have different strategies and hence it is important to define your goals in terms of the rank you want to achieve. If you are aspiring for the top IITs or PSUs, you will need a rank of less than 1000 and hence you will have to prepare thoroughly on all topics. On the other hand, if your goal is to just qualify, then you can afford to leave out 2-3 topics from your preparation.
  2. Take a diagnostic test – Before starting your preparation it is important to know your initial level of competence.  An analysis of your performance in this test will tell you your strengths and areas where improvement is required. Based on this, you can device your preparation strategy.
  3. Build your concepts – GATE is an exam which tests concepts as well as their application thoroughly. Join a good classroom program or a online tutoring program which will help strengthen your concepts.
  4. Practice makes man perfect – As the old adage goes, there is nothing better than extensive practice. Solve all types of questions you come across in various books and be prepared on all question patterns
  5. Familiarize with formula – Engineering subjects have a lot of formulae, which more often than not have to be memorized. Noting down all formulae as and when you finish each topic or referring to a collection of formulae will help you get familiar.
  6. Focus on high-return topics – Engineering Mathematics and General Ability constitute 30% of the total marks and are relatively easier to score in. You could look at some online lectures to prepare in these topics.
  7. Appear in a Mock Test Series-– Take up a mock test series as it will help you adapt to the online pattern. It will also help you assess your preparation and based on the test analyze you can focus on areas that you are weak in and can prepare those areas. It will also give you exhaustive practice on different types of questions
  8. Make your own exam strategy –Based on your experiments in the mock test series, you can fine tune your own exam strategy. Some people like to start solving a paper from the first question, while some people like to glance through the entire paper and start answering questions from their areas of strength.
  9. Relax before the exam – One day before GATE, stop thinking about it. Watch a movie or anything that relaxes you. Appear for the exam with a fresh mind.

Why Take Coaching?

Why Take Coaching?

This question is that- "Why Take Coaching? Why not do Self Study?"

This is one of the most important question when we start preparing for CSIR NET JRF exam or UGC NET JRF Exam or any other research oriented exam. Then You have choice "Either you make a mistake and learn from it or you learn from other people mistakes".

How is a Competitive Exam Different from other exam?

When We comes to research and fellowship exam it differs for example, The pattern for the Single Paper MCQ test with duration of three hours and question paper is divided in three parts containing General Aptitude subject-related conventional MCQs, higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts.
The questions are of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem. Negative marking for wrong answers.
Ultimately, student has to cover all the syllabus with in limited period of time and as well totally different approach according to the pattern of exam and intensity of competition.

Self Study + Coaching = Success in Competitive Exams

Self-study is the common essential component whether you are doing self-preparation or coaching.  During self-Preparation, the process needs time, focus and competitive approach.
The selection of actual topic which seems relevant and important becomes difficult or time-consuming process. The analysis of previous examinations might take extra efforts to conclude the right direction and focus for examination. The tendency of the student remains same to cover every bit of syllabus and read study material thoroughly for best preparation.
It seems good but in this process we lack time for proper revision of important as well as all the content we studied. Only right kind of teacher can help and guide us but he is not available all the time with us. So hesitation here becomes one of the issue for not asking for help from teacher.
  • Good time management is the key to cracking competitive exams.
  • Coaching classes provide you with a pre-defined study plan devised by exam experts.
Many of the students preparing for competitive exams join coaching to give an edge to their preparation. Time is not sufficient for taking care of every bit and aspect of exam preparation. On the other hand, Coaching saves time, provides regularity , sharpens our focus , helps in developing Self thinking, self-analysis technique and moreover and provide authentic mentor for clearing doubts. Its gives us the right kind of temperament to prepare for the exam and right techniques for solving different problems with different and time-tested techniques.
Coaching can help the student in cracking the exam so if you planning to join the coaching then join, it would definitely help a student to crack the exam. You are most welcome to contact Koshika Academy for career guidance or any query related to CSIR NET JRF, IIT JAM, UGC NET JRF Entrance and Gate Biotechnology.

Crack GATE Exam in First Attempt

Crack GATE 2018 Exam in First Attempt

GATE (The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2018 Exam is a gateway for all aspiring & qualifying candidates to secure admission for postgraduate(P.G) programs in centrally funded Indian institutions. This year IIT Guwahati is organizing institute for GATE Exam. GATE is highly competitive entrance exam where lakhs of candidates appear for examination to crack the exam and hence it requires good tips and proper guidance for GATE preparation.

Here is a list of tips that you must go through to ace your GATE exam in the first attempt.

  • Know the Exam pattern : The GATE Exam is a single paper online examination of three hours, with 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of both multiple choice questions and numerical answer type questions.
  • Follow the GATE Syllabus : During your preparation, aim to complete the given syllabus rather than studying out of syllabus topics. Since there are many subjects included in the syllabus, it is important that you should make a particular study plan to prepare each and every topic of the syllabus.
  • Read standard text books : Prepare at least one standard text book for each subject in GATE syllabus. Reading one book may not cover the complete syllabus. In such a scenario you must ensure that you are not relying on these text books completely.  To avoid this, it is a good  practice to actively engage yourself through online platforms that provide resource material for your practice.
  • Understand fundamentals and Practice quizzes: Initially, focus on understanding the concepts and later focus on mastering each topic through the practice tests. For this purpose, you must aim at solving as many problems/quizzes as on regular basis and improve accuracy and performance in each test.
  • Preparation Time and Strategy : Preparation depends on many individual factors such as aptitude, fundamentals, understanding level etc., typically, a rigorous preparation from 4 to 6 months is considered well enough for getting into IISc or IITs. A topic by topic studying plan will help you understand each topic extensively, with enough practice.
  • Make short revision notes : Once you have considerably gone ahead with your preparation, you can start reading all the chapters again and prepare short notes for all important topics. These short notes can help you to recall entire preparation and useful for your last-minute revision.
  • Recall all concepts and methods : After the preparation of complete syllabus, spend one month before the exam to recall all concepts, formulas, methods and examples. Remember the definitions, important points and formulas during the revision. Always remember to get your basic concepts clear, it will help you to crack even tough questions.
  • Test your abilities : In order to maximize your chances to get a good performance score, you need to minimize the time you spend during reading, understanding and solving for each question in the exam. Many of GATE questions can be answered with reading and understanding. So final goal is to improve your time to solve each question.
